At its peak, around 48 ha of vineyards were cultivated, divided among well over 100 owners. Of the former 29 field and house presses, only 4 remain today. At the end of the 19th century, viticulture came under pressure due to sharply declining sales and the expansion of settlement areas. At the beginning of the 21st century, the final transformation to today\u2019s vineyard area was completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most influential winemaker in Flurlingen was Heiner Hertli.
